Business loans declined, while consumer loans increased for May 2021

June 24, Fineko/abc.az. In May the business loans decreased and consumer loans increased in Azerbaijan, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank.

Thus, in May, compared with April 2021, the consumer loans increased by AZN 69.5 million up to AZN 3.847 bn, mortgage loans by AZN 16.7 million up to AZN 2.16 bn, while business loans decreased by AZN 6.6 million to AZN 8.68 bn.

The total loan portfolio of the banking sector increased by AZN 79.6 million in May and reached AZN 14.69 bn.

The growth of the banks' loan portfolio is conditioned with the growth of consumer and mortgage loans.
