July 13, Fineko/abc.az. Currently, such precocious peach varieties as ‘Golden’, ‘Fedai’ and ‘Nectarine’ are collected in the gardens of Khachmaz.

ABC.AZ reports that this indicates that the yield in the peach orchards of Khachmaz is high this season. The current price of fruit also satisfies farmers. They sell 1 kg of peaches for 50-90 gepiks. But compared with previous years, the purchasing power of fruits has decreased.

Farmers link this with the fact that these products are sent to the Russian markets in a small volume. In general, there are peach orchards in Khachmaz district with an area of about 2,748 hectares, of which 2,400 hectares are fertile.

Every year, more than 7,000 tons of peaches are harvested from the gardens of the district.
