July 22, Fineko/abc.az. By 2030, it is planned to invest $500 bn in hydrogen energy, which is considered as an alternative to traditional fuel in the energy, industrial and transport sectors, ABC.AZ informs with reference to the report of Belgian consulting company McKinsey & Company.

According to the report, to date, 359 large hydrogen projects have been presented on a global scale.

Among them, 141 large industrial projects, including oil refining, production of ammonia, methanol, steel and industrial raw materials, 96 projects covering the use of hydrogen in transport, including trains, ships, trucks and passenger cars, 56 are focused on the use and delivery of hydrogen to the end user, 38 - on the distribution and storage of hydrogen, 28 - on the creation or development of enterprises for the production of low-carbon hydrogen with capacity of over 1 GW.
