New rules from Cabinet Ministers

July 30, Fineko/abc.az. The Cabinet Ministers approved a range of rules as part of the measures aimed to create and ensure the functioning of the technical regulation system.

ABC.AZ was informed at the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy & Consumer Market Supervision, the application of the new rules will help ensure the protection of human life and health, the environment, property and state interests, protect the rights and legitimate interests of consumers, eliminate technical barriers to trade and increase the competitiveness of goods.

Under the new rules, a risk-based approach will be applied to ensure the safety of non-food products. Entrepreneurs will be able to carry out free sale, independently drawing up declarations of compliance for the safety of nonfoods produced or imported by them with low and medium level of risk. And nonfoods belonging to the high-risk group will be checked by accredited conformity assessment bodies and appropriate certificates will be issued to them.
