HSBC Bank has more than doubled its profit

August 2, Fineko/abc.az. Europe's largest bank, HSBC, more than doubled its profit in the 1st half of this year and announced that it will pay dividends to its shareholders for this period.

ABC.AZ reports that HSBC's net profit for the 1st half of 2021 was $8.4 bn ($5.3 bn more against the 1st half of 2020). At that, pre–tax profit increased by $6.5 bn up to $10.8 bn.

In the 1st half of the year Bank's profit grew due to the expected recovery of credit losses.

The report for Q2 and past half of the year exceeded analysts' expectations. At the same time, the Bank announced that it will pay shareholders a dividend of 7 cents for each ordinary share.
