August 4, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of 2021 the total volume of payment card transactions within the country increased by 22.3% (versus Jan-Jun 2020) up to AZN 15.9 bn, including the non-cash payments by 55.6% up to AZN 4.5 bn, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the semi-annual review of payment systems published by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

The share of non-cash payments in domestic transactions with payment cards increased by 6% (against the 1st half of 2020) up to 28.1%.

In general, for every 100 transactions with payment cards for the reporting period there are 28 manats of non–cash transactions and 72 manats of cash transactions. In the 1st half of last year this figure was 22 and 78 manats, respectively.
