August 4, Fineko/abc.az. Japanese multinational company Sony Group Corporation received net profit of 213.115 million yen ($1.95 bn) for Apr-Jun (this period is considered the 1st quarter of the financial year).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Sony’s financial report.

It is noted that this is 4.4% more versus the same quarter of last year. Company's operating profit was 280.068 million yen ($2.567 bn) that is 26.3% more year-on-year.

In the 1st fiscal quarter Sony sold 602.158 million yen ($5.519 bn) of gaming and networking services to consumers, 252.2 million yen ($2.312 bn) of music services, 204.378 million yen ($1.873 bn) of graphics services, and sales of electronic products and solutions amounted to 566.519 million yen ($5.192 bn).

As of 30 June Sony's total assets amounted to 28.269 million yen ($259.1 bn), and total liabilities 21.3 million yen ($195.4 bn). This is 2.8% and 2.6% more in the monthly comparison.
