PepsiCo sells Tropicana and other brands for $3.3 bn

August 4, Fineko/abc.az. PepsiCo Corporation has announced the sale of several juice brands, including Tropicana and Naked Juice, in North America. They will be acquired by French investment fund PAI Partners for $3.3 bn.

ABC.AZ reports that PAI Partners will also receive the rights to distribute some juices in Europe.

After the deal, PAI Partners will be able to acquire some Pepsi enterprises in Europe.

Pepsi said it will spend the money received to strengthen its financial position and invest in the business. In 2020, the brands involved in the deal brought Pepsi about $3 bn. Pepsi's net profit in 2020 was $70.37 bn.

In 2021Pepsi’s shares rose by 5%, raising the market value up to $216 bn.
