Oil gets cheaper, and Brent is $71.72 a barrel

September 6, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of standard grades are declining in Monday’s trading amid signals about deterioration of the prospects for global demand because of a new wave of COVID-19 in the world.

By 9:25 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the November’s Brent crude futures fell by $0.89 (1.23%) to $71.72 per barrel. Following the trading on 3 September the price of Brent oil futures for November fell by $0.42 (0.58%) to $72.61 per barrel.

By 9:25 an, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the price of October’s WTI oil futures decreased by $0.82 (1.18%) to $68.47 per barrel. Following the trading on 3 September the price for October’s WTI oil futures dropped by $0.70 (1%) to $69.29 per barrel.

Over the past week Brent crude oil grew by 1.3% and WTI oil by 0.8%.
