September 9, Fineko/abc.az. This year, the total amount of insurance premiums accumulated through agricultural insurance within the state line in Azerbaijan has approached AZN 4 million, ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Agricultural Insurance Fund.

According to the Fund, more than 10,000 heads of livestock and 20,000 hectares of crop production have been insured so far.

"In the near future, the sphere of agricultural insurance will be expanded. It is planned to insure all types of plants intended for products. The insurance package will include not only dairy animals, but also meat - sheep and goat- breeding animals," the report says.

Currently, the Fund operates in 60 districts of the country.
