Import of poultry meat and eggs from Primorsky Territory prohibited

September 21, Fineko/abc.az. According to the World Organization for the Protection of Animal Health, a case of Newcastle disease has been recorded in the Shkotovsky district of the Primorsky Territory of the Russian Federation.

The Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan reports that in order to protect the territory of the republic from infectious diseases transmitted through animals, a temporary restriction has been imposed on the import of all types of live poultry, poultry meat and hatching eggs, taking into account the zoning principle.

At that, in order to strengthen control measures, an appeal was sent to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan for taking appropriate measures with respect to vehicles arriving or passing through the Primorsky Territory of the Russian Federation.
