October 14, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AQTA) has prepared a draft document "Sanitary norms & rules for applied oils, margarine and solid oils".

ABC.AZ reports that Agency’s chairman Goshgar Tahmazli stated about this during a speech at a press conference dedicated to the Agency's activities for 9 months of 2021.

He noted that this document contains provisions regulating the content of trans-fatty acids in oil products less than 2% of the total fat content in the product: "The developed sanitary norms and rules should be adopted in the near future. This will require reducing the content of trans-fatty acids to 2% for both local producers and importers."
