Elman Rustamov: Central Bank has defined a new National Development Strategy

October 20, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev has outlined five national priorities, taking into account the challenges of the post-pandemic, post-oil and post-conflict period in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that this was announced by Central Bank’s chairman Elman Rustamov.

"These days, the government and the Central Bank have defined a new National Development Strategy, which is designed for the period until 2030. Its 1st stage will cover 2022-26. The key elements of the strategy were determined in response to the most modern processes in the world, such as economic growth, economic transparency, diversification, green economy, environment, inclusiveness and much more. One of the most important directions of the strategy is the diversification of the economy as a whole, the replacement of public investments by private ones. Here, the banking sector has a very big responsibility, the sector faces very big challenges," Rustamov said.
