November 2, Fineko/abc.az. The opening of the North-Western Regional SCADA Control Center of national electricity operator Azerishig OJSC has taken place in Shemakha today. ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the groundbreaking ceremony. With the purpose to improve the electricity supply to consumers in districts of the country, Azerishig is conducting large-scale construction, reconstruction and repair work under the leadership of the Azerbaijani president. As part of those measures, large reconstruction was also carried out at the Meyseri substation. Azerishig’s chairman Vugar Akhmedov said that through this substation, uninterrupted and stable power supply was provided to 11 settlements of Shemakha district, 5 settlements of Agsu district, industrial, medical, educational, social, tourist, agricultural facilities, etc. With the commissioning of the substation the supply of electricity to the population of more than 10,000 people has been improved.
