Potatoes imported from Russia destroyed

November 11, Fineko/abc.az. Inspectors of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency inspected 67,000 kg of seed potatoes imported from Russia by individual Ahliman Mejidov. 

ABC.AZ reports that samples of imported products were taken during the inspection and used in laboratory tests. 

As a result of research, a quarantine organism (Ralstonia solanacearum - brown bacterial rot) was found in the samples. 
The Agency made a decision to destroy a batch of unusable seed potatoes.
