Azerbaijan imposes a ban on poultry import from a range of countries

According to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza have been recorded in Israel, Ireland, the province of Friesland of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Yorkshire-Humber and North-West England regions of England, in the provinces of Germany. 
 
ABC.AZ was informed at the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AGTA) that in order to protect the territory of Azerbaijan from infectious animal diseases that can be transmitted from other countries, according to the OIE Land Animal Health Code, taking into account the zoning principle, temporary restrictions have been imposed on the import of live poultry and hatching eggs, poultry meat, poultry processing products from the Southern District of the State of Israel, the Monahan Administrative Territorial Unit of the Republic of Ireland, the province of Friesland of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Yorkshire-Humber and Northwest England regions, the regions of Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia of the Federal Republic of Germany.
