Azerbaijan to prosecute gambling organizers

December 27, Fineko/abc.az. At today's meeting the Azerbaijani MPs have adopted another amendment to the Code of Administrative Offences, submitted for discussion in the 3rd reading.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the amendments, Article 244-1 of the Criminal Code (organization or maintenance of a casino) has been renamed for "Organization or conduct of gambling" and is being revised. In other words, the organization and conduct of gambling will not be considered an administrative offense, and criminal liability will be envisaged for this.
