Since this year, the prices of flour produced by business entities on the domestic market from imported food grains have been brought into line with the current price of food wheat on the world market. As a result, there is a change in prices for flour and traditional (round) bread.

ABC.AZ was informed at the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy & Supervision of the Consumer Market that in this regard, the Service has tightened control measures. As part of preventive measures, the State Service in this direction organized meetings with grain importers, as well as flour and bread producers, who were warned about the inadmissibility of abuse of the situation.

Regular monitoring is carried out and necessary measures are taken to comply with antimonopoly legislation in order to prevent unjustified changes in the price of flour, the price and weight of traditional (round) bread and the implementation of quality control in the consumer market. In case of detection of signs of violation of the law, the Civil Service will take serious measures.
