January 5, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree declaring 2022 the Year of Shusha.

ABC.AZ reports that the presidential decree says: "In Shusha, declared the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, grandiose projects are being implemented today to restore the true historical appearance of the city. Preparation of the General Plan of Shusha in the shortest possible time, restoration of the bust of the great poet Molla Panakh Vagif and the museum-mausoleum complex, opening of the Bulbul House-Museum and the monument to Uzeyir Hajibeyli, as well as the process of restoration of historical, religious and architectural monuments are an integral part of complex works in the cultural capital of our country. The restoration of the tradition of the Harybulbul music festival on the Jidyr plain and the organization of Vagif poetry days in front of the majestic Vagif Mausoleum also shows that Shusha is rapidly reviving and returning to its former full-fledged cultural life."
