January 5, Fineko/abc.az. "Currently, there are certain shortcomings in the field of hotel business in Azerbaijan, especially in the service sector," ABC.AZ report citing State Tourism Agency’s chairman Fuad Nagiyev.

He, however, emphasizes sufficient progress and development in the direction of improving the level of service in hotels:

"We’ve taken certain initiatives aimed at bringing the prices of hotel star category in line with the services that hotels offer."

 “It is known that special attention is paid to the development of the hotel business at the state level. As a result of the purposeful policy pursued in the country, the opening of new hotels is being stimulated, the implementation of important socio-economic infrastructure projects is successfully ongoing," he added.
