Turkey has increased tomato exports

January 7, Fineko/abc.az. Turkey’s tomato exports for 2021 reached $363.29 million (16% more than a year earlier), ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Association of Exporters of South-Eastern Anatolia.

Last year tomatoes grown in Turkey were sold in 54 countries around the world.

This is by three countries more than in 2020, when Turkey exported tomatoes for $313.27 million.

Russia has become the largest market for Turkish tomatoes. This country was delivered tomatoes for $68 million last year. Romania occupies the 2nd place - $58.33 million.

At that, in 2021, the largest percentage increase in tomato supplies from Turkey accounted for Bulgaria. In particular, this country was delivered tomatoes for $28.82 million in 2020, and in 2021 this figure reached $40.96 million (a rise of 42%).
