Aluminum prices have soared sharply

January 7, Fineko/abc.az. The decline in aluminum production in Europe led to the fact that prices rose to the highest level since October.

ABC.AZ reports that while aluminum prices are rising, the cost of copper is also increasing, as events in Kazakhstan threaten global supplies.

The price of aluminum at the London Metal Exchange grew by 2% to $2,980 per ton, reaching the highest price since 21 October.

The production has declined in such countries as France and Spain due to increased energy costs.

Shanghai Dongwu Jiuying Investment Management notes that production cuts and energy shortages in Europe may continue until spring.
