Volkswagen reports decline in sales

January 12, Fineko/abc.az. Volkswagen has announced decline in its sales.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the company, sales of cars under its brand in 2021 decreased by 8.1%, slightly below 4.9 million.

The company attributed this to the emergence of problems in the supply chains.

Volkswagen representatives said they expect this situation to continue in the 1st half of 2022.

Although overall car sales have declined, sales of fully electric or hybrid vehicles have increased by 73% compared to 2020 to 369,000 cars.
