Cost of oil declines, and Brent is at $84.42 a barrel

January 13, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of standard grades are decreasing in Thursday’s trading after significant growth following the previous sessions.

By 9:17 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the March Brent crude futures fell by $0.25 (0.30%) to $84.42 per barrel. Following the trading on 12 January, the price of Brent crude futures for March grew by $0.95 (1.14%) up to $84.67 per barrel.

By 9:17 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI oil futures for February dropped in price by $0.24 (0.29%) to $82.40 per barrel. Following the trading on 12 January, the price of February WTI oil futures increased by $1.42 (1.75%) up to $82.64 per barrel.

According to US Department of Energy’s weekly report, country’s commercial oil stocks fell by 4.55 million barrels last week to 413.3 million barrels, gasoline inventories grew by 7.96 million barrels up to 240.75 million barrels, and commercial distillate stocks increased by 2.54 million barrels up to 129.38 million barrels.
