Azerbaijan observes a sharp rise of gas consumption

January 14, Fineko/abc.az. Gas consumption has increased on the territory of Azerbaijan sharply because of the deterioration of weather conditions.

ABC.AZ reports that Ruslan Aliyev, the director general of Azerigaz, stated to journalists about this as part of the Open Doors campaign.

According to Aliyev, Azerigaz accepted $7.52 bn cu m of gas in 2021 (774 million cu m more year-on-year, or by 11.5%).

Azerigaz’s head noted that compared to previous years, most of the gas was accepted last year.

Aliyev added that 5.43 bn cu m of gas consumed accounted for the population, and 2.1 bn cu m on the industrial line.
