Google buys office building for $1 bn

January 17, Fineko/abc.az. Google has acquired the Central Saint Giles building in central London for $1 bn.

ABC.AZ reports that Google plans to refurbish the premises within a few years, create conference rooms, as well as more space for individual employees, including outdoors.

"We’ve been privileged to work in the UK for almost 20 years, and our purchase of the Central Saint Giles complex reflects our continued commitment to the growth and success of the country," stated Ruth Porat, chief financial officer of Google Alphabet parent company.

The number of Google employees in the UK is about 6,400 people.
