New project for parking management in Baku


January 18, Fineko/ The Baku Transport Agency (BNA) has launched a pilot project to manage parking on the streets of the capital.

ABC.AZ reports that at the initial stage, the reconstruction of Basti Bagirova, Muhammad Nakhchivani streets and the streets crossing them is being carried out.

In order to organize parking spaces on the projected territory, the principles of increasing pedestrian accessibility in accordance with the rules of modern urban planning were also adopted.

Within the new project a single-level pedestrian crossing will be organized in 6 places to bring this 450-m-long street to an ideal level. On this street, where in addition to residential buildings there is 1 hospital, 1 college and 1 kindergarten, 138 parking spaces will be organized taking into account the intensity of traffic flow.
