Tesla officially enters the Turkish market

January 26, Fineko/abc.az. Tesla has entered the Turkish market.

ABC.AZ reports that Kemal Gecher has been appointed CEO of Turkish subsidiary Tesla Motorları.

The company's capital was increased from 710,000 Turkish liras ($52,489) up to 50 million liras (almost $3.7 million).

In the near future, Tesla plans to open dealerships to sell currently available models (Model 3, Y, S and X) and deploy a network of Supercharger charging stations.

Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, visited the country back in 2017 and met with its president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
