Population bought food for AZN 2 bn for January

February 11, Fineko/abc.az. In January, the country’s residents bought foods, beverages and tobacco products for 199.1 manats and non-foods for 162.6 manats in the retail chain.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that last month it was sold goods to consumers in the retail trade network for AZN 3.6 bn, including foods, beverages and tobacco products for AZN 2 bn and non-foods for AZN 1.6 bn.

Compared with January 2021, retail trade turnover in real terms increased by 2.9%, including for foods, beverages and tobacco products by 2.5%, and non-foods by 3.5%.
