February 18, Fineko/abc.az. Recently, as a result of the development of the private sector, we’ve achieved even greater success. I can say that this area has occupied an important place in my activities as President from the very first days, and it is thanks to this that we’ve achieved that today the basis of GDP, a significant part of it is provided by the private sector, the non-oil sector.

ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated this during the video-format reception of Joshgun Jabrailov, Elgin Gabibullayev and Elkhan Ibragimov in connection with their appointment as heads of Nizami, Narimanov districts of Baku and Kurdamir district, respectively.

But in the current conditions, in particular, in the post-war period, an even greater task falls on the private sector.

“Of course, first of all, it should pay attention to the liberated lands and establish businesses there. I’ve repeatedly expressed my views on this issue. The private sector should also be active in all regions where it operates. The state ensures this activity. The development of the private sector should take into account the directions of our common economic policy," the president said.
