February 21, Fineko/abc.az. In connection with the occupation of Khojali by Armenians, the state and citizens suffered damage in the amount of over $170 million, according to preliminary estimates.

ABC.AZ reports that this was stated by the head of the Special Investigation Department of the Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan, Senior Justice Advisor Emil Tagiyev.

He noted that according to president’s instructions, the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, damage is currently being calculated on the spot by local and international specialists in the occupation-liberated territories: "All documents related to compensation for this damage have been prepared and sent to international courts. In addition, the victims individually appealed to the European Court of Human Rights."
