February 24, Fineko/abc.az. For many years, relationships between Russia and Azerbaijan have been characterized both by me and my counterpart Vladimir Putin as relations of strategic partners. The current format of the relationships is higher. That is, there is practically no higher than this. And in interstate relations, this is the tip of the iceberg, if I may say so.

ABC.AZ informs that this opinion was expressed by President Ilham Aliyev in an interview for news agency TASS at a meeting with the heads of leading Russian media in response to a question about the Moscow Declaration asked by Rossiyskaya Gazeta’s editor-in-chief Vladislav Fronin.

The head of state noted that the very name of this Declaration already speaks about much: "This, as I’ve already said, is the result of very serious work over many years to increase the level of interaction and the result of the concrete work of a group of representatives of Russia and Azerbaijan for more than one year - since last January - on the actual text of this Declaration. It covers almost all spheres of life. And, of course, a series of documents that will support this Declaration with concrete agreements in various areas is also being worked out."
