February 28, Fineko/abc.az. The imposition of sanctions against Russia contradicts Georgia's national interests and cannot stop military actions in Ukraine.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the News-Georgia that Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said this at today’s Cabinet Ministers meeting.

"We act solely out of the interests of our country. I understand that the situation (around Ukraine) is extremely difficult, but today we need unity, firmness and calmness inside the country, and actions without emotions, guided by national interests and only then guided by the interests of another country. Of course, we empathize, but first of all we must protect our interests and our people," Garibashvili said.
