Deputy Ecology Minister: Caspian Sea is polluted from 128 sources

March 10, Fineko/abc.az. Today there are 128 sources of pollution of the Caspian Sea. They are located in the territories from the Samur River to Astara.

ABC.AZ reports that this was informed by Deputy Minister of Ecology & Natural Resources Vugar Kerimov.

“We work together with all government agencies to preserve the ecological state of the Caspian Sea basin, we conduct monitoring with the help of a special research vessel "Alif Hajiyev". This year, monitoring was carried out three times. Industrial enterprises located from the Samur River to Astara, as well as oil companies in the Caspian Sea play an important role in marine pollution. We are conducting educational events and will continue to work in this direction,” he said.
