Why have prices for goods in Veyseloglu markets increased?

March 10, Fineko/abc.az. Veyseloglu Group of Companies has published the price index for February 2022 on the products with the highest consumer demand in its markets.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the Veyseloglu Retail Index, the average cost of the most frequently sold items in the group's retail facilities this February was 12.6% higher against February 2021. Thus, the cost of fresh (perishable) food increased by 12.8% versus February 2021, the price of non-perishable, frozen and bulk products, as well as confectionery and soft drinks rose by 13.5%, tobacco products and alcoholic beverages grew by 10.0%.
