Spain halts issuance of ‘golden’ visas for Russian citizens

March 16, Fineko/abc.az. The Spanish government has decided to temporarily suspend the issuance of "golden" visas to Russian citizens.

According to the Spanish Foreign Ministry, speech is about the possibility of obtaining a residence permit in this country for citizens of states that are not part of the EU, in exchange for large investments.

In turn, it is reported that Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Alvarez ordered a few days ago to temporarily stop issuing these visas to Russian citizens, as well as suspend requests already under consideration. This decision was made against the background of EU sanctions due to the situation around Ukraine.
