UK adds Putin and Lavrov's daughters to list of sanctions

April 8, Fineko/abc.az. The UK has imposed sanctions against the daughters of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign media that according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a decision was taken to ban the departure and freeze the assets of Putin's daughters Katerina Tikhonova and Maria Vorontsova and Lavrov's daughter Yekaterina Vinokurova.

The UK, which on 25 March made the same decision regarding Lavrov's stepdaughter Polina Kovaleva, coordinated these sanctions with the U.S.

FM Liz Truss also drew attention to plans to stop using Russian energy.
