April 8, Fineko/abc.az. In order to bring national standards regulating tourism activities in Azerbaijan in line with international requirements, new state standard AZS 906-2022 “Tourism services. Classification of accommodation facilities. Minimum requirements" has been adopted.

ABC.AZ reports that this was stated in the State Service for Antimonopoly Supervision & Control of the Consumer Market under the Ministry of Economy.

The standard was approved by the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND) subordinate to the Civil Service and entered into the State Fund of Normative Documents on Standardization. In connection with the adoption of the new document, state standards AZS 369-2009 "Tourism & excursion services. Accommodation facilities. General Requirements" and AZS 755-2014 "Minimum requirements for hotels and hotel-type accommodation facilities".
