Sanctions against Russia may leave 200,000 Muscovites out of work

April 19, Fineko/abc.az. About 200,000 residents of Moscow may lose their jobs because of the suspension or termination of foreign companies’ activities in Russia.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign press that Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said this in his blog.

He added that the government has launched a $41 million program to support the population.

These funds are intended primarily for employees of companies that have stopped working or have decided to leave Russia.

The new program will support more than 58,000 people who have lost their jobs. And 12,500 people will be sent to new jobs.
