April 26, Fineko/abc.az. The number of overnight stays of foreigners and stateless persons at hotels grew 3.2-fold (versus Q1 of 2021) up to 172,000 stays (39.5% of the total number of overnight stays), ABC.AZ was informed at the State Statistics Committee.

Of the total number of foreign tourists, citizens of the Russian Federation made up 14.2%, UAE - 12.8%, Turkey - 10.3%, Saudi Arabia - 8.7%, Kuwait - 5.4%, Great Britain - 4%, USA - 3.1%, Israel - 2.6%, Pakistan - 2.1%, Kazakhstan - 2%, Germany - 1.7%, Qatar - 1.6%, Italy - 1.5%, Iran - 1.3%, Georgia - 1.3%, India - 1.3%, Ukraine - 1.2%, Netherlands - 0.8%, France - 0.7%, other countries - 23.4%.

At that, foreigners and stateless persons spent 70.8% of overnight stays in Baku, in Gusar - 12.4%, in Gabala - 5.8%, in Naftalan - 3.5%, in Guba - 2.9%, in Shabran - 1.5%, in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic - 1%, in other cities and districts - 2.1%.
