Moody's inflation warning

April 26, Fineko/abc.az. International rating agency Moody's has reported that global inflation will remain high in 2022 and moderate in the 2nd half of 2023.

ABC.AZ reports that Moody's said in a statement: "Inflationary pressures will be more pronounced and will last longer than expected due to rising food and fuel prices and supply chain disruptions exacerbated by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Rising labor costs and rising inflation expectations in developed countries increase the risks, constantly rising inflation will have negative credit consequences for countries, especially during a period of slowing economic growth and rising interest rates.

"We expect global inflation to remain high in 2022 and moderate in the 2nd half of 2023, inflation risks tend to increase," the agency said in a statement.
