April 28, Fineko/abc.az. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

ABC.AZ reports that events related to Ukraine were discussed during the negotiations.

The Russian leader thanked President Erdogan for the exchange of Russian pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko for American Marine Trevor Reed, which took place on 27 April in Turkey under the coordination and control of the National Intelligence Organization.

President Erdogan said that Turkey's mediation in this exchange is not only an indicator of the importance of peace, dialogue and cooperation, but also makes sense from angle of the mediation mission.
