Russia applies sanctions to Japan

May 4, Fineko/abc.az. Russia has imposed sanctions prohibiting entry into the country against Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and 62 other Japanese citizens.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign media that Fumio Kishida's administration has launched an unprecedented anti-Russian campaign, admits unacceptable rhetoric against the Russian Federation, including slander and direct threats, according to Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry’s statement.

It is echoed by public figures, experts and representatives of the Japanese media, who are fully engaged in the West's attitudes towards our country. In line with this course, Tokyo is taking practical steps aimed at dismantling good-neighborly ties, damaging the Russian economy and the international prestige of our country," the statement says.
