Ambassador: Azerbaijan works over agreement with EU

May 4, Fineko/abc.az. Since last year the partnership between the European Union and Azerbaijan has been strengthening.

ABC.AZ reports that this was stated by the head of the EU Delegation in Azerbaijan, Pyotr Mikhalkov, at a meeting with journalists.

The ambassador noted that a number of important visits were noted last year: "EU Council’s president Charles Michel and EU Commissioner Oliver Varheli visited Baku. Last December, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev took part in the Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels. We are continuing to work on a new agreement between the EU and Azerbaijan."
