Google Play bans developers from downloading paid apps in Russia

May 6, Fineko/abc.az. Google Play banned developers from downloading and updating paid applications in Russia.

ABC.AZ reports that already paid subscriptions will be valid until the end of the period specified in the application, and then they will be canceled. For developers whose apps provide "critically needed services", Google recommends making the app completely free.

The changes will not affect free apps and their updates. The top list of paid apps in the Russian Google Play will be turned off. All restrictions come into force starting today, May 6.
