May 12, Fineko/abc.az. Since the beginning of Russia's military invasion of Ukraine, approximately 4.8 million Ukrainians have lost their jobs, ABC.AZ informs with reference to the report of the UN International Labor Organization.
“According to the study, if hostilities escalate, job losses will increase to 7 million. However, if the fighting stops immediately, an early resumption with the return of 3.4 million jobs is possible,” the report says.
If the war stops now, 3.4 million Ukrainians may return to their jobs. Of the 4.8 million Ukrainians who lost their jobs, 1.2 million people became refugees. Currently, Ukraine is numbering 3.6 million unemployed people.
