May 13, Fineko/abc.az. The Supervisory Board consisting of chairman and 4 members appointed and dismissed by the country’s president is established to exercise general management and control over the activities of the TƏBIB.
ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the amendments to the presidential decree from 20 December 2018 "On a number of measures to ensure the application of compulsory medical insurance in Azerbaijan", introduced by today's presidential decree.
According to the document, the TƏBIB Supervisory Board will include the chairman of board of the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance (as chairman), the Deputy Minister of Health of Azerbaijan, the Deputy Minister of Labor & Social Protection, the deputy chairman of board of the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance and the chairman of the Trade Union of Health Workers.
The current management of the activities of TƏBIB is carried out by the executive director and his 3 deputies, appointed and dismissed by the TƏBIB Supervisory Board. In accordance with Part 2 of this Decree, the management and control of the activities of medical institutions that are part of the state healthcare system subordinate to TƏBIB is carried out by TƏBIB.
