Bread in Georgia may rise in price

May 16, Fineko/abc.az. There is shortage of wheat in Georgia, and prices are expected to rise.

ABC.AZ reports that Levan Davitashvili, the Minister of Economy & Sustainable Development of Georgia, made the above-mentioned statement at a briefing.

According to the minister, the main task of the government is to make bread prices affordable for everyone:

"In recent months, wheat stocks in Georgia have been depleted due to flour imports. Mills stop working. Against the background of the current situation, some bread producers have raised prices," Davitashvili said.
