May 17, Fineko/abc.az. The activity of trams in Baku has been suspended for almost 20 years. At a time when there are daily traffic jams, the need for such vehicles in Baku is growing.

ABC.AZ reports that transport expert Rashad Huseynov noted that the restoration of each of the previous lines is theoretically possible. The world experience could be used in this case.

He added that this work should be carried out by a single body, and its activities should be connected with other types of public transport.

In response to our questions, the State Committee for Urban Planning & Architecture was informed that during the development of the Baku Master Plan, this issue was reflected in the proposals. However, since the master plan has not yet been approved, it is too early to talk about this issue.
