Expert criticizes AZAL: It sells tickets at high prices and works at a loss

May 18, Fineko/abc.az. "Being a monopolist, control all flights, ground services, raise ticket prices, and still work at a loss – speech is about a company that has no analogues – AZAL," economist-expert Natig Jafarli wrote on his Facebook page.

ABC.AZ reports that the expert ironically reacted to the fact that the company ended 2020 with net loss of AZN 76.415 million:

"At that, in 2020, AZAL received a subsidy of AZN 232.8 million from the government in connection with COVID-19. In addition, AZAL has a debt of AZN 2.2 bn. Basically, AZAL owes money to the state, the Ministry of Finance."
